- PPG Industries (PPG): PPG stock is up 6.0% today on 3 times normal volume.
- Carpenter Technology Corp (CRS): CRS stock is up 4.2% today.
- Ternium S.A. (TX): TX stock is up 3.9% today.
- Allegheny Technologies Inc (ATI): ATI stock is up 3.8% today.
- Polypore International Inc (PPO): PPO stock is up 3.7% today.
- Georgia Gulf Corp (AXLL): AXLL stock is up 3.6% today.
- Rexnord Corp (RXN): RXN stock is up 3.4% today.
- Alcoa Inc (AA): AA stock is up 3.3% today.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- FMC Corp (FMC): FMC stock is down 1.2% today.
- Watts Water Technologies (WTS): WTS stock is down 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Schweitzer-Mauduit International (SWM): SWM stock is down 0.5% today.
- Valhi Inc (VHI): VHI stock is down 0.3% today.
- Precision Castparts Corp (PCP): PCP stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- RBC Bearings Inc (ROLL): ROLL stock is down 0.2% today.
- Ferro Corp (FOE): FOE stock is down 0.3% today.
- Dover Corp (DOV): DOV stock is down 0.1% today.
