More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.2%, the Nasdaq pushed 1.3% higher and the S&P 500 was up 1.2%.

• KB Home (KBH): KBH stock is up 6.3% today on 2 times normal volume.

• Louisiana-Pacific Corp (LPX): LPX stock is up 5.6% today.

• Lennar Corp (LEN.B): LEN.B stock is up 5.1% today on 2 times normal volume.

• Pultegroup (PHM): PHM stock is up 4.9% today.

• Lennar Corp (LEN): LEN stock is up 4.8% today.

• Tutor Perini Corp (TPC): TPC stock is up 4.5% today.

• Standard Pacific LP (SPF): SPF stock is up 3.7% today.

• Ryland Group (RYL): RYL stock is up 3.3% today.

• Fortune Brands Home & Security (FBHS): FBHS stock is up 3.3%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among capital goods stocks include:

• Heico Cp Cl A (HEI.A): HEI.A stock is down 0.8% today.

• Flir Systems (FLIR): FLIR stock is down 0.5% today.

• Manitowoc Company (MTW): MTW stock is down 0.2% today and down 24.2% in the last month.
