Those looking to view the Orionid Meteor Shower will be in for a treat.

The Orionid Meteor Shower will start on Tuesday night and will last into Wednesday morning. The event will start picking up speed around midnight and people could start seeing meteors every couple of minutes, reports AccuWeather.

Those going out to watch the Orionid Meteor Shower will be happy to know that this is one of the best years for it. This is due to us being close to a new moon. Since there won’t be much moonlight, the meteors will be easier to see, AccuWeather notes.

The first time that the Orionid Meteor Shower was recorded in history was in 288. At this time, people in China reported that stars were falling out of the sky like rain, reports USA Today.
