More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.5%, the Nasdaq rose 0.2% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.5%.
Some of the biggest gainers among capital goods stocks include:
- Caesarstone Sdot-Yam Ltd (CSTE): CSTE stock is up 3.7% today.
- Vulcan Materials Company (VMC): VMC stock is up 2.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
- CRH Plc (CRH): CRH stock is up 1.8% today.
- Orbital Sciences Corp (ORB): ORB stock is up 3.7% today.
- Fluor Corp (FLR): FLR stock is up 1.4% today.
- Regal-Beloit Corp (RBC): RBC stock is up 1.6% today.
- Msc Industrial Direct Company (MSM): MSM stock is up 1.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Thor Industries (THO): THO stock is up 1.6% today.
- Quanta Services (PWR): PWR stock is up 1.2% today.
- Mastec Inc (MTZ): MTZ stock is up 3.3% today.
Some of the biggest losers among capital goods stocks include:
- Louisiana-Pacific Corp (LPX): LPX stock is down 4.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- NCI Building Systems (NCS): NCS stock is down 0.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- KBR Inc (KBR): KBR stock is down 0.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- James Hardie Industries Se (JHX): JHX stock is down 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Elbit Systems Ltd (ESLT): ESLT stock is down 0.4%, marking the sixth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Eagle Materials Inc (EXP): EXP stock is down 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Boeing Company (BA): BA stock is down 0.6% today.
