More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was steady, the Nasdaq was up 0.3% and the S&P 500 stayed level.
Some of the biggest losers among energy stocks include:
- Laredo Petroleum Holdings Inc (LPI): LPI stock is down 20.4% today and down 31.5% in the last month.
- Talisman Energy Inc (TLM): TLM stock is down 19.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Oasis Petroleum Inc (OAS): OAS stock is down 19.3% today and down 24.3% in the last month.
- Pdc Energy Inc (PDCE): PDCE stock is down 17.1% today and down 25.0% in the last month.
- Baytex Energy Corp (BTE): BTE stock is down 16.6% today and down 25.1% in the last month.
- Continental Resources (CLR): CLR stock is down 17.1% today and down 23.9% in the last month.
- Kodiak Oil (KOG): KOG stock is down 15.4% today and down 25.0% in the last month.
- Ep Energy Corp (EPE): EPE stock is down 17.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Concho Resources Inc (CXO): CXO stock is down 14.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Whiting Petroleum Corp (WLL): WLL stock is down 15.4% today and down 22.3% in the last month.
