Energy stocks advanced broadly on Wall Street on Friday morning, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 1.5%.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.8%, the Nasdaq pushed 0.8% higher and the S&P 500 was up 0.8%.
Some of the biggest gainers among energy stocks include:
- Yanzhou Coal Mining Company (YZC): YZC stock is up 6.0% today.
- Petroleo Brasileiro S.A.- Petrobras (PBR.A): PBR.A stock is up 5.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Cnooc Limited (CEO): CEO stock is up 5.4% today.
- Petroleo Brasileiro S.A.- Petrobras (PBR): PBR stock is up 5.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Petrochina Company Limited (PTR): PTR stock is up 5.4% today.
- Cosan Limited (CZZ): CZZ stock is up 4.9% today.
- Compagnie Generale De Gephysqu (CGG): CGG stock is up 4.5% today and up 78.1% in the last month.
- China Petroleum & Chemical Corp (SNP): SNP stock is up 4.6% today.
- Penn West Petroleum Ltd (PWE): PWE stock is up 5.5% today.
- Baytex Energy Corp (BTE): BTE stock is up 4.7% today.
Only one stock in the energy sectors showed losses:
- Kinder Morgan Management Llc (KMR): KMR stock is down 0.2% today.
