Is the stock market open the day after Thanksgiving?
The two major stock markets in the US will close on Thanksgiving Day and open the following day for limited hours. Here’s what you should know about the stock markets in the holidays in 2014.
NASDAQ is opening at regular hours Friday, November 28, the day after Thanksgiving. However, the stock market will close at 1 pm.
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will also open during regular hours the day after Thanksgiving. The stock market is also closing at 1 pm on November 28.
“Crossing Session orders will be accepted beginning at 1:00 p.m. for continuous executions until 1:30 p.m. on these dates,” reads a statement on NYSE’s website.
