jetblue-airways-corporation-jbluJetBlue said that it will start offering three different fare options for travelers. One of the fares is designed for fliers that don’t have a bag to check. The other two will allow fliers to check one or two bags depending on which offer is taken. These new offers will start in the first half of 2015.

JetBlue will also be refitting its Airbus A320 to include more seats. The airline claims that it will still have the most legroom available in coach and that the seats will be lighter and more comfortable. The changes will start being made to A320 flights in 2016.

“Today we announced actions that we’ve been working for some time to enhance JetBlue’s revenue performance, control costs and reduce capital commitments through 2017,” JetBlue CFO Mark Powers said in a statement. “As we execute this plan and continue to grow, we also seek to drive significantly improved returns for our shareholders.”

JBLU shares were up 4% as of Wednesday afternoon.
