Basic materials stocks declined on Wall Street so far on Friday, down 1.3%.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.4%, the Nasdaq was down 0.2% and the S&P 500 fell 0.4%.
Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:
- Sinopec Shangai Petrochemical Company Ltd (SHI): SHI stock is up 0.9% today.
- Randgold Resources Limited (GOLD): GOLD stock is up 0.2% today.
- Bemis Company (BMS): BMS stock is up 0.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- Westlake Chemical Corp (WLK): WLK stock is down 4.6% today and down 21.3% in the last month.
- Lyondellbasell Industries Nv (LYB): LYB stock is down 3.6% today and down 20.4% in the last month.
- Olin Corp (OLN): OLN stock is down 3.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Mrc Global Inc (MRC): MRC stock is down 3.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Teck Resources Ltd (TCK): TCK stock is down 2.8% today and down 32.6% in the last month.
- Allegheny Technologies Inc (ATI): ATI stock is down 3.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- DOW Chemical Company (DOW): DOW stock is down 2.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Domtar Corp (UFS): UFS stock is down 3.0% today.
- Kronos Worldwide Inc (KRO): KRO stock is down 2.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Chemtura Corp (CHMT): CHMT stock is down 2.8% today.
