More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 1.4%, the Nasdaq pushed 1.6% higher and the S&P 500 climbed 1.4%.

- Enerplus Corp (ERF): ERF stock is up 6.9% today.
- Memorial Production Partners LP (MEMP): MEMP stock is up 5.6% today.
- Baytex Energy Corp (BTE): BTE stock is up 7.6% today.
- Teekay Offshore Partners L.P. (TOO): TOO stock is up 4.8% today.
- Breitburn Energy Partners L.P. (BBEP): BBEP stock is up 2.2% today.
- Rosetta Resources Inc (ROSE): ROSE stock is up 4.6% today.
- Superior Energy Services (SPN): SPN stock is up 5.2% today.
- Carrizo Oil & Gas (CRZO): CRZO stock is up 2.7% today.
- Denbury Resources (DNR): DNR stock is up 5.4% today.
- Ep Energy Corp (EPE): EPE stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
Some of the biggest losers among energy stocks include:
- Tesoro Petroleum Corp (TSO): TSO stock is down 2.6% today.
- Western Refining (WNR): WNR stock is down 2.7% today.
- IHS Inc (IHS): IHS stock is down 0.9% today.
- Valero Energy Corp (VLO): VLO stock is down 2.0% today.
