Wednesday Apple Rumors: Apple Media Event May Be Held in February

The upcoming film will focus on the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) founder and will be released on October 9, 2015. The film will star Michael Fassbender as Jobs and Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak. Filming for the movie started last month and shooting has taken place at the Flint Center and Job’s childhood home.

Chips: Samsung will be responsible for making the A9 chips in Apple’s next generation of mobile devices, MacRumors notes. Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed that it’s working on the A9 chips, but rumor has it that production has already started. Through the use of Samsung’s production process, the company can have smaller chips that use less power. Samsung can create 14-nanometer chips. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, another provider of Apple chips, currently only makes 20-nanometer chips.

Event: A new rumor claims that Apple will be holding a media event later this month, reports BGR. According to the rumor, the tech company will likely hold the media event on Tuesday, February 24. The event could possibly see the company showing off some of its upcoming and rumored devices. This could include the newest version of the MacBook Air. If the rumor turns out to be true, it’s also likely that the company will give attendees another look at its Apple Watch, which is expected to be released in April.
