Touch: A new rumor claims that several Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) devices will be getting Touch ID sensors added to them, reports MacRumors. According to the rumor, the tech company will be adding Touch ID sensors to its MacBooks, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. This rumor claims that the Touch ID will be lactated above the trackpad on new MacBooks and that it will also be integrated into the Magic Trackpad and magic Mouse devices. The addition of these new Touch ID sensors would allow the company to expand Apple Pay to more devices if the rumor holds true.
Watch: There is much speculation over the price of the upcoming 18-karat gold Apple Watch, 9to5Mac notes. It’s unknown how much the luxury device will cost, but there are estimates out there. One such estimate claims that the device could cost as much as $4000 and that there will be less than million of them made. Hints at the price of the device can be seen by the company’s efforts to update its Apple Stores for its release. These updates include a heavier focus on jewelry at the locations as well as safes being added to store the devices.
Keyboard: Apple has been granted a patent for a keyboard that would let users type in air, reports AppleInsider. The new patent granted to the tech company is titled “Virtual Keyboard for a Non-Tactile Three Dimensional User Interface.” The patent describes a system that would use 3D cameras to track a user’s movement. This tracking technology would allow the system to determine the letters that the user is trying to type and would make the entry for them without them having to press a physical key. The system would also have a best guess feature to determine what a user is trying to type and autocorrect it for them.
