According to a press release from the company that discusses 8K resolution, Apple’s iMac 8K will come out later this year. The company says that 8K resolution is the highest that the human eye can see and that it will put an end to the resolution discussion.

An 8K resolution device, such as the iMac 8K, would support images with a resolution of 7,680 x 4,320. This is twice the size of 4K, also includes four times as many pixels. 4k displays offer 16 times more pixels that Full HD displays.

LG showed off its 98-inch 8K Color Prime Ultra HDTV at CES this year. The company is also planning to show off an 8K display at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
