Chinx Drugz, a NYC-based rapper whose real name is Lionel Pickens, has been killed.

Chinx Drugz, 31, was shot in a drive-by shooting that took place in Queens. He was leaving a show early Sunday when a car pulled up next to his and several 9mm rounds were fired from within. He was taken to a hospital, which is where he died, reports Washington Post.

According to club manager Luis Lopez, Chinx Drugz didn’t cause any problems while at his establishment. There was no reported conflicts and the drive-by shooting doesn’t appear to be related to anything that happened at the club, Washington Post notes.

“It is with a heavy heart that the Legion Media Group and 4 Kings Management announce the passing of Lionel ‘Chinx’ Pickens this morning,” Legion Media Group told Music Times. “Chinx’s dedication, humor and vision will always be remembered.”
