New research suggests that consuming chocolate daily could reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
A study conducted at the University of Aberdeen in England found that eating up to 100g of chocolate a day could reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by 11% and stroke by 23%.
The study examined data from 21,000 adults, as well as international published evidence on the links between cardiovascular disease and chocolate, involving close to 160,000 people.
Eating chocolate was also linked to a higher energy intake and a diet with more fat and carbs, but less protein and alcohol.
