apple-rumors-apple-watch-mac-os-aapliPad: Apple’s (AAPL) iPad is losing ground to other tablets, reports MacRumors. A new report shows that the overall tablet market is in a decline. This is affecting AAPL as well, which shipped 10.9 million iPads in Q2 2015. The tech company is still the leader when it comes to market control for tablets, but it’s losing ground to cheaper models. It’s current share of the worldwide tablet market is now below 25%. The iPad has seen shrinking sales for the last six quarters.

Hack: One crafty programmer has gotten an older version of Mac OS running on his Apple Watch, Digital Trends notes. That programmer is named Nick Lee and he has Mac OS 7.5.5 running on his smartwatch. He was able to accomplish this with emulation program Mini VMac. The Watch has 512MB of RAM and an A5 processor. These easily meet the 24MB of RAM and 1000MHz processor that were required to run Mac OS 7 back in 1996. Lee was using WatchOS 2.0 when he put the old Mac operating system on his smartwatch.

Beats: Apple’s Beats has started posting customer support information on Twitter (TWTR), reports AppleInsider. The decision to start posting customer support information on Twitter is a strange one for the company. Typically, companies only seek to provide this information to customers that are seeking it. However, this new effort means that the headphone maker is actively supply customers with information they may not have needed or wanted. It’s possible that AAPL is using this as a test to see how social media users react to this type of information showing up in their feeds.
