Basic materials stocks declined broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.5%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.9%, the Nasdaq was down 1.2% and the S&P 500 fell 0.9%.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• New Gold Inc (NGD): NGD stock is up 2.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Carpenter Technology Corp (CRS): CRS stock is up 1.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Stillwater Mining Company (SWC): SWC stock is up 1.8% today.

• Worthington Industries (WOR): WOR stock is up 1.6% today.

• Stepan Company (SCL): SCL stock is up 1.6% today.

• Teck Resources Ltd (TCK): TCK stock is up 1.5% today.

• Celanese Corp (CE): CE stock is up 1.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Albany International Corp (AIN): AIN stock is up 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Rexnord Corp (RXN): RXN stock is up 1.3% today.

• Olin Corp (OLN): OLN stock is up 1.2% today.

• Plum Creek Timber Company (PCL): PCL stock is down 1.5% today.

• W.R. Grace & Company (GRA): GRA stock is down 1.1% today.

• International Paper Company (IP): IP stock is down 1.1% today.

• Valspar Corp (VAL): VAL stock is down 1.1% today.

• International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF): IFF stock is down 1.1% today.

• Bemis Company (BMS): BMS stock is down 1.0% today.

• Sealed Air Corp (SEE): SEE stock is down 1.0% today.

• Weyerhaeuser Company (WY): WY stock is down 0.9% today.

• Newmont Mining Corp (NEM): NEM stock is down 0.9% today.

• Wd-40 Company (WDFC): WDFC stock is down 0.9% today.
