TV: One hacker has a custom version of Safari running on Apple (AAPL) TV, reports 9to5Mac. The new TV hack allows users to put Safari on their TV and navigate it with their Siri Remote. The Siri Remote lets users navigate the browser in two different modes. One lets users scrolls by touching the glass and the other puts an arrow on the TV for navigation. The hack uses a custom API, which means it won’t be on the official App Store. However, it is free to download for those that are interested.
Preorders: Walmart’s (WMT) Sam’s Club is starting preorders for Apple’s new iPad Pro, MacRumors notes. According to the retail chain’s website, the tablet will be available for purchase on Nov. 13. Models included in the preorders are the 32GB and 128GB versions with Wi-Fi. However, it doesn’t include the model that uses mobile data. Colors that are listed by the retailer in its preorders are Space Gray, Silver, and Gold.
Bugs: Some iOS owners are having issues with their devices after iOS 9.1’s release, reports AppleInsider. The Support Communities forum on the tech company’s website has seen several users complaining about issues with Touch ID since the release of iOS 9.1. Among these issues are the Touch ID being slow to work and possibly not even working at all. It’s possible that the release of iOS 9.2 could fix the issue, but it’s still unknown when it will come out. There were similar issues when iOS 8.1 was released.
