Worst Airports for Thanksgiving Travel Delays

The list of the worst airports for Thanksgiving delays has been launched.

AirHelp compiled the selection based on the airports around the U.S. that suffered the most delays in 2014. At the very top of the list is Chicago O’Hare, with nearly 50% of flights being delayed.

Seattle/Tacoma is not far behind it, with Denver Intl, Dallas/Fort Worth Intl and San Franciscio International Airport rounding out the top five, all with more than 40% of their flights being delayed on Thanksgiving.

On the opposite end of the spectrum are Indianapolis, Jacksonville Intl, Honolulu Intl, San Antonio Intl and Albuquerque. The latter only has about 20% of its flights delayed on Thanksgiving.

This Thanksgiving season will be especially busy for those driving, with 47 million expected to travel in car.

Additionally, the Sunday after Thanksgiving is statistically the worst time to drive over the break.
