Or at least, traveling by car will be the busiest it’s been since 2007 as gas prices have been steadily declining, potentially falling under the $2-mark by Thanksgiving day.

The American Automobile Association (AAA) predicts that 47 million Americans will be traveling by car across the U.S. this holiday season with the intention of eating turkey with their families.

The agency adds that these upcoming weeks will be so busy for traveling by car that people should have well-laid plans, along with time and patience to reach their destinations.

The average price of gas is $2.16 per gallon in the U.S., 64 cents lower than the average price for Thanksgiving Day a year ago.
