Bug: Apple (AAPL) has fixed a problem that could brick iPhones in its newest iOS 9.3 beta, reports MacRumors. The glitch that has been fixed in the new iOS 9.3 beta involved setting a device’s date back to Jan. 1, 1970. The problem would result in iPhones entering an endless reboot cycle, making the smartphone unusable. To get around this issue, the newest beta makes it so that the iPhone’s date can only be set back as far as Dec. 31, 2000.

Security: Apple is reportedly working to increase security to counter the FBI’s request to hack an iPhone, AppleInsider notes. Reports claim that the tech company is creating better encryption for its iOS devices and iCloud in an effort to counter any possible security breaches it may be forced to supply the FBI with. The company is already known for having very secure devices and its CEO, Tim Cook, has likened the FBI’s request to hack the iPhone to cancer.

iPhone: New sketches claim to show what the iPhone 5se could look like, reports 9to5Mac. These skectes come from case designers and they show a device that looks almost identical to the iPhone 5s. One change has the power button being relocated to the side of the device and it also includes more curved edges than the iPhone 5s. If this turns out to be true, the device will really look just like the iPhone 5s, but it will also reportedly include TouchID and beefed up internal components.
