Apple Rumors, iPhone 7 Battery, AAPLiPad: Apple (AAPL) announced a new iPad during its media event today, reports AppleInsider. The new iPad shown off by the company is 9.7 inches in size and is a new addition to the iPad Pro line. This confirms rumors surrounding the device before its official release. The new tablet will also be available with up to 256GB of internal storage and the larger 12.9-inch version of the iPad Pro has also received a 256GB version. The announcement also included a price drop for the iPad Air 2, knocking it down to $399 for the 16GB version.

iPhone: Apple confirmed many rumors surrounding its new smartphone today with the launch of the iPhone SE, 9to5Mac notes. The iPhone SE is a 4-inch smartphone that comes in 16GB and 64GB variants, which cost $399 and $499 respectively. The new iPhone SE will be available for preorder on March 24 and will start being sent out to customers on March 31. It’s initial release will include the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada and many other countries. Even more countries will start getting the iPhone SE in April.

Battery: Images of what are claimed to the the battery for the iPhone 7 have shown up online, reports MacRumors. The exact voltage on the battery isn’t revealed in the image, but it does include a marking showing 7.04 watt-hours. This is slightly larger than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s’s batteries. It’s possible that the slightly larger size of the battery could be allowed due to the headphone jack being taken out of the smartphone, which has long been a rumored change to the device.
