Apple Rumors, Camera Zoom, Patent, AAPLWWDC: We now have a location and time for Apple’s (AAPL) WWDC thanks to Siri, reports Digital Trends. If a user asks Siri when the WWDC is, she will say that it will take place from June 13 to June 17 in San Francisco, Calif. This is a change from her previous answers, which claimed she didn’t know the exact date of the event. AAPL also confirmed this as the right date and location via a press release.

Update: Apple has launched its updated 12-inch MacBook for 2016, MacRumors notes. The new MacBooks are available for purchase from the company’s online store. It includes the new Skylake processor from Intel Corporation (INTC) and a larger 41.4-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery. These changes grant the new 12-inch MacBook with 10 hours of battery life, which is a one-hour improvement over the 2015 model. The new laptop is also now available in Rose Gold and prices start at $1,299.

Camera: Apple has patented a new system for a mobile camera with superior zoom, reports AppleInsider. The new system describes in the patent would work much like a periscope in the sense that it would include a mirror that would focus light around a bend in the camera. This system could possibly allow the tech company to reduce the size of its cameras without having to let the quality of the images taken suffer. It could also help reduce the camera bumps on future devices so that it doesn’t repeat the displeasure from fans that were upset by the camera bump in the iPhone 6s line.
