MacBook: A new rumor claims that Apple (AAPL) will be bringing major updates to the MacBook Pro this year, reports 9to5Mac. According to this rumor, which comes from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the 2016 MacBook Pro will be thinner than previous models. It will also include Touch ID and an OLED display touch bar that will be located above the keyboard. He claims that 13-inch and 15-inch versions of the new MacBook Pro laptops will be released during the fourth quarter of the year.

OLED: One Apple supplier is preparing for a huge increase in OLED display orders, Bloomberg notes. This supplier is Applied Materials, Inc. (AMAT) and it said it has increased orders for machines to create OLED displays by four times to prepare for orders. It’s believed that these orders will be going to AAPL as analysts are expecting the tech company to introduce an iPhone with an OLED display late in 2017.

Plates: What may be production plates for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have leaked, reports AppleInsider. The two sets of plates may be used for applying finishing touches to the aluminum cases that will likely house the smartphone. The smaller plate shows a larger spot for the camera and the larger plate includes room for a dual-camera system. Missing from both plates are spots for the company’s Smart Connector.
