The automotive giant and the transportation services company are looking to bring self-driving taxis to the mainstream, as preposterous and futuristic as that sounds.
GM made a $1 billion acquisition that will help it in this project. Cruise Automations Inc. focuses on driverless cars.
Soon enough, some Lyft rides will not even have a driver as a Chevrolet Bolt will show up to your doorstep completely unmanned.
