The coffee giant announced a change in its dress code which will allow new options for its employees’ style, clothing and accessories options. The previous dress code only allowed for black and grey outfits with green aprons.

Starbucks’ 150,000 North America employees can now wear permanent and semi-permanent artificial hair coloring, assuming the hair is tied back in order to avoid health hazards.

Additionally, new kinds of hats can be used such as fedoras and beanies. Not much was said regarding tattoos but the company would prefer it if accessories and ink did not take over the atmosphere of its stores.

Neutral colors are preferred over flashy looks, including navy, gray, dark denim and brown. T-shirts, tank tops and hoodies are also in the mix now as employees can take a break from button-down shirts.

Pants guidelines are also easier to follow now, with shorts, dresses and dark jeans all being included in the new Starbucks dress code. Black, gray and brown are the colors that employees can wear on their fee.

The expanded dress code is not the only move that Starbucks is making as the company has added more healthcare benefits for its workers. There are more options regarding what type of health plan workers can use.

SBUX shares are up 0.6% Tuesday. Also, read up on how to trade SBUX stock since the company’s disappointing earnings results.
