Amazon.com, Inc.’s Prime, Hyundai Team Up on Test Drives at Your Doorstep

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is teaming up with Hyundai for a special offer for Amazon Prime subscribers.

Drive Now.” It allows subscribers to the Amazon Prime service that live in Los Angeles/Orange County to set up special test drives times for the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra. The promotion started last weekend and will be available again this weekend from Aug. 27 to Aug. 28.

The Prime Now. Drive Now. promotion allows Amazon Prime subscribers to set up 45-minute to 60-minute test drives at the locations of their choice. This means Prime members can stay home and a special attendant will deliver the car to them for the test drive.

The program allows Amazon Prime customers to schedule test drivers between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. If customers show interest in the 2017 Hyundai Elantra after the test drive, they will be directed to the closest dealership where they can purchase one of the vehicles.

“We know people are looking for a new way to experience our vehicles, and with the convenience of Amazon’s Prime Now service, ‘Prime Now. Drive Now.’ is an innovative solution we are testing to modernize today’s automotive shopping experience,” Dean Evans, chief marketing officer for Hyundai Motor America, said in a statement.

The Amazon Prime deal is also being advertised by Hyundai through digital mediums. This includes digital video, digital advertising, SEO, SEM, and social media posts. The company is also placing ads about the Prime Now. Drive Now. offer on Amazon.com.
