Upgrade: A new rumor claims that Apple (AAPL) is working on major upgrades for some of its devices, reports Bloomberg. According to this rumor, the tech company is planning to introduce new iPad software that allows its Pencil stylus to be used with more than just the iPad Pro. MacBooks are expected to get a 5K monitor and a MacBook Air with a USB-C port. There’s also talk that the company will release a new iMac with a graphics card from Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD).

Liquidmetal: A new patent from Apple details a touch surface made of liquidmetal, AppleInsider notes. This patent explains the possibility of using liquidmetal to create touch screens that could be tougher than ones available today. It notes that the alloys could be used to form “sense, drive, and/or multi-function circuit elements.” While the patent is interesting, there’s no way to know if it will ever be used. The tech company acquired rights to Liquidmetal Technology’s patents years ago, but hasn’t been doing much with them.

Colors: A newly-leaked image may show off the new iPhone 7 smartphone’s colors before its official release, reports 9to5Mac. The image shows what are claimed to be SIM trays for the upcoming Apple device. The SIM trays in the image are available in five different colors: Space Black, Silver, Space Grey, Rose Gold and Gold. If the image turns out to be genuine, then this means customers will have five different colors options to chose from when buying an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.
