Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE:YUM) has created a KFC sunscreen that will make you smell like fried chicken.
It seems like an odd combination but perhaps using the lotion will build up your hunger as your tan, encouraging to find your nearest fried chicken restaurant afterwards. Those who are working hard on their beach bod may resent the company for this bizarre creation.
The KFC sunscreen is SPF 30 lotion and the company offered 3,000 bottles of it on its website for free. The product is already out of stock, surprisingly enough.
“Harmful ultraviolet rays bounce off your skin while the lovely fragrance rays penetrate it to give you a healthy chicken aroma,” KFC writes in its website.
The chicken chain also released a warning where they implored customers to keep the lotion on their skin and out of their mouths. It is not edible, nor finger-lickin’ good like fried chicken.
KFC has released quite a few items that have left us scratching our heads recently, including a corsage that actually comes with a piece of fried chicken.
Additionally, Hong Kong consumers are able to buy chicken-flavored nail polish that was developed by the fast-food restaurant. Two flavors — or odors — of nail polish were created in “Original” and “Hot and Spicy.”
2016 has been a year of innovation for Yum Brands as company-owned Pizza Hut launched a pizza box that is also DJ scratch box.
YUM stock is up 0.6% Monday.
