The “Work” performer is the latest recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which will be handed out at the Aug. 28 ceremony. She is also the nominee of four VMA awards.

The award honors Rihanna’s legacy in the music business, pop culture, the fashion world, film and philanthropy. She has been setting the world alight for over a decade now.

The pop icon has won three Video Music Awards — two for “Umbrella” and one for “We Found Love,” featuring Calving Harris — and sold more than 200 million records worldwide.

“Honored to take the #VMAs stage as your video #VANGUARD award recipient LIVE from NYC on August 28!,” she tweeted. Past recipients of the award include Michael Jackson, Madonna, Britney Spears, Beyonce and Kanye West.

In addition to her catchy music and stylish music videos, Rihanna has made an impact in the fashion world, most recently releasing a line of sunglasses with Christian Dior in May that sell in the range of $840 and $1,950, depending on whether or not you want a gold-plated version.

Rihanna will perform at the VMAs, which will take place at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Her 2016 nominations include Best Female Video for “Work,” featuring Drake, Best Male Video with Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna, “This Is What You Came For” and two nominations in the Best Collaboration category–one for each of the aforementioned videos.
