Wednesday’s Stocks to Watch: Finisar, Boston Beer

Here are a few stock stocks to keep on your radar on Wednesday:

  • Shares of Finisar (NASDAQ:FNSR) plunged 37% in early Wednesday trading after the company said its fiscal fourth-quarter results would fall well below analysts’ current estimates. The company cited, in part, a slowdown in Chinese business.
  • Boston Beer (NYSE:SAM) shares slipped 6.2% after the company missed Wall Street’s fourth-quarter profit and revenue estimates late Tuesday. The brewer said it expects the competitive pricing environment will continue to be “challenging.”
  • Kiddie retailer Children’s Place (NASDAQ:PLCE) was up 6.2% after the company’s fourth-quarter profit report, which included a disappointing earnings forecast for the first quarter and full year.
  • Shares of Navistar (NYSE:NAV) gained 3.8% after the company missed first-quarter profit and revenue estimates but affirmed its earnings per share forecast for fiscal 2011.
  • AeroVironment (NASDAQ:AVAV) shares rose nearly 13% after the company blew away Wall Street’s fiscal third-quarter profit and revenue estimates.
