Sprint Nextel NYSE:SSprint’s (S) “One Up” program was introduced on Friday.

The One Up program allows Sprint customers to upgrade their phones once a year instead of twice a year. The plan includes unlimited talk, text and data for $65 a month. This is lower than similar plans offered by Verizon (VZ), AT&T (T) and T-Mobile (TMUS). For a limited time, the program will allow customers to buy phones for no money down and pay them off in 24 monthly payments. If customers end their service with the provider before the 24-month period, they will have to pay for the rest of the phone. T-Mobile was the first of the major carriers to offer a one year program, which it launched in July, reports Gigaom.com.

The One Up program is also able to be used with tablets.
