Zynga (ZNGA) is bringing one of its most popular games to a potential Facebook (FB) rival.
Words with Friends will launch on upstart social messaging service, Tango. Words with Friends has been a huge hit for Zynga, with 55 million matches of the game under contest at any time, VentureBeat notes.
In fact, Words with Friends is the most downloaded free game on Apple’s (AAPL) App Store. By launching the game on Tango, Zynga gains access to the mobile messaging service’s more than 200 million users.
Investors are betting that Tango will continue to grow. The company has received $280 million in recent financing.
ZNGA stock edged up slightly in Friday morning trading. Zynga shares have risen about 20% over the past year.
