KFC to Pay Medical Bills of Dog-Attack Toddler

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is footing $30,000 worth of medical bills for a three-year-old girl that was scarred in a dog attack.

KFC chicken corsageAccording to Fox News, the child, Victoria Wilcher, was asked to leave a KFC restaurant because her face was disturbing customers. The incident allegedly happened when the child’s grandmother took her to the restaurant to get some food after a visit to the doctor. The company has apologized to the family and said it would investigate the matter.

Wilcher was attacked by three pit bulls owned by her grandfather, who is divorced from her grandmother. One of the dogs broke into the home through the front door and the other two dragged her outside where they bite her several times. The dogs focused on the face more than anything and the child has lost sight in her right eye and the ability to move the right side of her face, reports Fox News.

Dick West, a KFC franchisee not involved in the incident, is offering to throw a picnic for Wilcher. He said that the girl deserves something nice no matter what KFC decides after its investigation.

KFC decided to donate the money after the little girl’s story went viral on social media.
