No worries, the self-destruct feature won’t ruin your Facebook wall with debris from other messages and apps. It’s actually just a new option that allows users to have a post expire after a certain amount of time. It’s kind of like SnapChat. The new feature is currently only available in limited areas, reports Mashable.

According to BBC News, Facebook’s self-destructing posts are currently only available in New Zealand, which is where it and other companies have previously tested features.

A Facebook spokesperson told Mashable that its tests for self-destructing posts is “a small pilot of a feature on Facebook for iOS that lets people schedule deletion of their posts in advance.” The social media website also has a short help section for the feature.

FB shares were up slightly as of Thursday afternoon.
