Basic materials stocks remained flat on Thursday morning on Wall Street.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was unchanged, the Nasdaq was down 0.2% and the S&P 500 stayed level.
Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:
- Air Products and Chemicals (APD): APD stock is up 4.4% today.
- Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd (ACH): ACH stock is up 2.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
- RBC Bearings Inc (ROLL): ROLL stock is up 2.0% today.
- Valhi Inc (VHI): VHI stock is up 2.0% today.
- Sealed Air Corp (SEE): SEE stock is up 1.5% today.
- W.R. Grace & Company (GRA): GRA stock is up 1.0% today.
- Mosaic Company (MOS): MOS stock is up 0.6% today.
- Owens-Illinois (OI): OI stock is up 0.9% today.
- Clearwater Paper Corp (CLW): CLW stock is up 0.9% today.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (AEM): AEM stock is down 12.0% today.
- Yamana Gold (AUY): AUY stock is down 10.6% today.
- Goldcorp Inc (GG): GG stock is down 8.2% today.
- Kinross Gold Corp (KGC): KGC stock is down 5.6% today.
- New Gold Inc (NGD): NGD stock is down 6.2% today.
- Eldorado Gold Corp (EGO): EGO stock is down 5.0% today.
- Mueller Water Products (MWA): MWA stock is down 3.8% today.
- Anglogold Ashanti Ltd (AU): AU stock is down 4.0% today and down 26.3% in the last month.
- Newmarket Corp (NEU): NEU stock is down 5.3% today.
- Randgold Resources Limited (GOLD): GOLD stock is down 4.5% today.
