More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 0.2% higher, the Nasdaq stayed consistent and the S&P 500 climbed 0.2%.

• Georgia Gulf Corp (AXLL): AXLL stock is up 2.7% today.

• Clearwater Paper Corp (CLW): CLW stock is up 2.7% today.

• Precision Castparts Corp (PCP): PCP stock is up 2.5% today.

• Gold Fields Ltd (GFI): GFI stock is up 2.5% today.

• FMC Corp (FMC): FMC stock is up 2.4% today.

• Rio Tinto Plc (RIO): RIO stock is up 2.4% today.

• Murphy USA Inc. Common Stock Wh (MUSA): MUSA stock is up 2.3% today.

• Actuant Corp (ATU): ATU stock is up 2.2% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Kapstone Paper and Packaging Corp (KS): KS stock is down 3.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Graphic Packaging Holding Company (GPK): GPK stock is down 1.7%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Dominion Diamond Corp (DDC): DDC stock is down 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Wd-40 Company (WDFC): WDFC stock is down 1.0% today.

• Eldorado Gold Corp (EGO): EGO stock is down 0.8% today.

• Cabot Corp (CBT): CBT stock is down 0.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Commercial Metals Company (CMC): CMC stock is down 0.7%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Sasol Ltd (SSL): SSL stock is down 0.7% today.

• Greif Bros. Corp (GEF.B): GEF.B stock is down 0.6%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
