More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.2%, the Nasdaq declined 0.2% and the S&P 500 increased 0.2%.

• Shinhan Financial Group Co Ltd (SHG): SHG stock is up 5.3% today.

• Ameriprise Financial Services (AMP): AMP stock is up 3.4%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Wellpoint Health Networks Inc (WLP): WLP stock is up 2.1% today.

• Banco Bradesco Sa (BBD): BBD stock is up 1.6% today.

• Aflac Incorporated (AFL): AFL stock is up 2.1%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG): AJG stock is up 1.7%, marking the ninth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• KB Financial Group Inc (KB): KB stock is up 1.9%, marking the sixth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Hcc Insurance Holdings (HCC): HCC stock is up 2.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Symetra Financial Corp (SYA): SYA stock is up 1.5% today.

• Financial Engines (FNGN): FNGN stock is up 1.8%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among financial stocks include:

• National Bank of Greece Sa (NBG): NBG stock is down 5.8% today.

• Banco Bilbao Viscaya Argentaria S.A. (BBVA): BBVA stock is down 3.9% today.

• Banco Santander Brasil Sa (BSBR): BSBR stock is down 3.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Deutsche Bank Ag (DB): DB stock is down 2.5% today.

• Verisk Analytics (VRSK): VRSK stock is down 2.1% today.

• ING Group N.V. (ING): ING stock is down 2.3% today.

• Trustmark Corp (TRMK): TRMK stock is down 2.9% today.

• Governor and Company of The Bank of Ireland (IRE): IRE stock is down 2.3% today.

• Amtrust Financial Services (AFSI): AFSI stock is down 2.5% today.

• Westpac Banking Corp (WBK): WBK stock is down 1.9% today.
