More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.5%, the Nasdaq was down 1.4% and the S&P 500 declined 1.5%.

• Allergan Inc (AGN): AGN stock is up 1.7% today on 3 times normal volume.

• Conmed Corp (CNMD): CNMD stock is up 0.7% today.

• Carefusion Corp (CFN): CFN stock is up 0.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• The Spectranetics Corp (SPNC): SPNC stock is up 0.2% today.

• Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR): NKTR stock is up 0.2% today.

Some of the biggest losers among healthcare stocks include:

• The Medicines Company (MDCO): MDCO stock is down 4.3% today.

• Puma Biotechnology (PBYI): PBYI stock is down 3.2% today.

• Heartware International (HTWR): HTWR stock is down 3.0% today.

• Hms Holdings Corp (HMSY): HMSY stock is down 3.0% today.

• Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc (VRTX): VRTX stock is down 2.8% today.

• Tornier N.V. (TRNX): TRNX stock is down 2.7% today.

• Insulet Corp (PODD): PODD stock is down 2.5% today.

• Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (VRX): VRX stock is down 2.5% today.

• Seattle Genetics (SGEN): SGEN stock is down 2.5%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Hospira Inc (HSP): HSP stock is down 2.4% today.
