More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average stayed the same, the Nasdaq was up 0.2% and the S&P 500 stayed consistent.

• Abengoa Yield Plc (ABY): ABY stock is up 1.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Covanta Holding Corp (CVA): CVA stock is up 1.1%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• NiSource Inc (NI): NI stock is up 0.8% today.

• Huaneng Power Intl (HNP): HNP stock is up 0.8% today.

• Avista Corp (AVA): AVA stock is up 0.8% today.

• Agl Resources (GAS): GAS stock is up 0.7% today.

• Hawaiian Electric Industries (HE): HE stock is up 0.6% today.

• Spectra Energy Partners LP (SEP): SEP stock is up 0.5% today.

• Allete Inc (ALE): ALE stock is up 0.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Edison International (EIX): EIX stock is up 0.5% today.

Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:

• Cpfl Energia S.A. (CPL): CPL stock is down 1.4% today.

• Markwest Energy Partners LP (MWE): MWE stock is down 0.9% today.

• NRG Energy (NRG): NRG stock is down 0.8% today.

• Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (EPD): EPD stock is down 0.8% today.

• Cheniere Energy Partners LP (CQP): CQP stock is down 0.7% today.

• Laclede Group (LG): LG stock is down 0.7% today.

• American States Water Company (AWR): AWR stock is down 0.5%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Oneok Inc (OKE): OKE stock is down 0.4% today.

• Consolidated Edison Company of New York (ED): ED stock is down 0.4% today.

• American Electric Power Company (AEP): AEP stock is down 0.4% today.
