Giada De Laurentiis and Todd Thompson are splitting up after being married for 11 years.
The Giada at Home host announced via Facebook that the decision was mutual following an amicable separation in July. De Laurentiis showed class and maturity in her post.
“Although our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family’s happiness has given us the strength to move forward on separate, yet always connected paths,” De Laurentiis wrote.
She added that the two have plenty of great memories together that she will continue to treasure. The celebrity chef and Thompson have a six-year-old daughter.
De Laurentiis has won three Daytime Emmy Awards and for her work on television. She has also published seven cooking books with the
most recent one released in 2013.
