Microsoft (MSFT) has released a preview of Skype Translator.
The new video chat function is exactly what it sounds like–it is capable of translating a conversation between people who speak different languages with a minor delay.
Here’s a two-minute video released by the tech giant that shows how the software works:
The preview program of Skype Translator only translates between English and Spanish at the moment. It is only available for devices running Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 Technical Preview at the moment.
The company will eventually launch Skype Translator across a variety of devices and operating systems.
MSFT stock is down 0.4% Monday afternoon.
