The Apple app price increases will affect users living in Canada, Norway and the European Union. The price increases come as new legislation was passed in Europe that would increase app prices by more than 6%. Canadian price increases were also expected due to the decrease in value of the dollar when compared to the U.S. dollar, reports The Verge.

Russia and Iceland are also seeing Apple app prices changing. Apps in Iceland will decrease in price. The announcement from the tech company doesn’t say what kind of change is going to occur to app prices in Russia. However, the country’s currency has decreased in value over the last year, The Verge notes.

“Prices on the App Store are changing to account for adjustments in value-added tax (VAT) rates and foreign exchange rates,” and Apple spokesperson told

ZDNet.
