Club Nintendo Is Closing: Rewards Program to End July 1

Club Nintendo will no longer exist after June.

Club Nintendo

The company announced it will discontinue the rewards program, which never reached the level of popularity Nintendo expected. Users will stop earning coins after March and they won’t be able to redeem them past June.

Club Nintendo gave gamers the chance to earn rewards for buying hardware and games, filling out surveys and more. Users can redeem these rewards to buy t-shirts, digital downloads and more.

“Nintendo has the best fans in the world, and we thank them for participating in this free loyalty rewards program,” said a company spokesperson.

A new rewards program that will be announced in the US “at a later date” will replace Club Nintendo.
