Today we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. In honor of the civil rights activist who promoted equality and justice half a century ago, the stock market is not open today.
The New York Stock Exchange includes MLK Jr. Day in its list of federal holidays where the market takes a break. NYSE will reopen tomorrow.
also closes its doors for MLK Jr. Day and will resume operations Tuesday.
