#SaveTacoBell is gaining attention as people work to save the first location from demolition.

Free Taco Bell TacosTaco Bell, which is owned by Yum Brands (YUM), got its start in Downey, Calif., in 1962. The first building is currently not used and is considered in “imminent threat of demolition” by the Downey Conservancy. People are hoping to save it with the #SaveTacoBell hashtag, reports The Consumerist.

The first Taco Bell location is no longer owned by the fast-food company. However, this hasn’t stopped it from reaching out to fans with the #SaveTacoBell hashtag. The Downey Conservancy has suggested moving the building and opening it up as a tourist attraction, reports The Consumerist.
