Sony (SNE) has announced that it won’t be releasing its PlayStation 4 in China on Jan. 11.
According to GameSpot, Sony decided to delay releasing the PlayStation 4 in China for multiple reasons. One of the possible reasons behind the delay is ongoing negotiations with officials in the country.
Plans to release the PlayStation 4 in China were announced after the country lifted its ban on foreign game consoles. Microsoft (MSFT) took advantage of the lifted ban and released its Xbox One in the country on September 29, 2014, reports GameSpot.
If the PlayStation 4 would have been released in China on Jan. 11, it would have cost $466. The release of the console would also have been accompanied by seven games, Neoseeker notes.
