Sony (SNE) PlayStation 4 owners were disappointed to learn about a holiday power outage that struck PlayStation Network (PSN).

The company announced on a blog post that PlayStation Plus members who had an active membership on December 25 will get a five-day extension on the service.

“The extension will be automatically applied, so no action is necessary to receive the extension,” Sony added. More details will come soon.

Additionally, all PSN members will have access to a one-time, 10%-off promotion off a total cart purchase in the PlayStation Store.

Sony recently announced its January selection of

free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

SNE stock is up 0.4% Friday afternoon.
