Starbucks Delivery Service Coming to NYC, Seattle in 2015

Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) is planning to launch a delivery service in NYC and Seattle this year.

Starbucks delivery is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2015. The deliveries will be tests to see how the service will handle. The NYC one will be limited to the Empire State Building. Seattle deliveries will be accomplished with the help of startup Postmates, reports Time.

Starbucks delivery orders in the two areas can be placed via the Starbucks app. The app will allow users can track the status of their deliveries, which can include drinks and food. However, the app requires users to be a member of the company’s loyalty program, Time notes.

Starbucks delivery in the two areas will include a fee. There is no minimum limit on orders and the fee won’t fluctuate based on order size. The company has yet to announce how much the fee will be, reports The Wall Street Journal.
