Amazon to Create Pilots for 6 New Kids Shows

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is launching pilots for six new kids shows this summer.

AmazonThe lineup includes four animated series — The Adventures of Knickerbock Teetertop, Lost In Oz, Lily the Unicorn and Bear in Underwear — and two live-action pilots — A History of Radness and The Kicks.

“These new pilots will bring sophisticated stories and unique points of view that we hope will resonate well with kids and families,” Amazon Studios’ head of kids programming, Tara Sorensen, said in a statement.

Amazon Prime users will be able to watch the pilots for these new kids shows and decide which ones they want turned into a full-time series.

A History of Radness is about siblings who form a band and The Kicks is about a soccer player who changes schools.

Lost in Oz is an action-adventure comedy set in Emerald City and Lily the Unicorn is about an eccentric girl and her shenanigans with friends.

Bear in Underwear is about a bear that wears no underwear with his animal friends and The Adventures of Knickerbock Teetertop follows a young adventurer in a magical world.

AMZN stock is up 0.2% Monday.
